Critical Needs

The Center for the Homeless relies heavily on donations from the community to help its guests. Throughout the year, demand for certain items varies. Other than the list in the right-hand column, at the present time we are in greatest need of these items:

Materials for STAR students

(Job placement & retention class)

a. Blank thank-you cards for guests to send after interviews

b. Portfolios for interviews

c. Interview clothing & shoes for larger men & women

Materials for Starting Over/Stepping Higher students

(Self-awareness and goal-setting class)

a. Spiral notebooks (30 per session, 150 for a year)

b. Week-at-a-glance pocket day books

c. Art supplies (markers, construction paper, posterboard, & glue)

d. 2" three-ring binders

Wish List

a. New picnic tables (iron, covered with soft plastic, and wheelchair accessible)

b. Industrial-sized deep frier
